Colorado Power Electronics (CPE) is a manufacturer of high voltage equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Location: Fort Collins, CO
Environment: Work in the manufacturing shop alongside PCBA and mechanical assemblers.

  • High voltage power supplies with low stored energy
  • High voltage solid-state pulsers
  • TWT solid-state modulators
  • Ion thrusters – Ion engines and Hall thrusters
  • Custom analog and mixed-signal design solutions
    CPE products are used in military and space TWTA test stations, ion implanters, and other industrial
    applications.

Mechanical Assembler 1

Location: Fort Collins, CO
Salary: $15-$25 per hour
Note: The company pays all employees once a month at the end of the month.

Position Overview:
Full-time position available in a small shop for a person with strong mechanical abilities, including extensive use of hand tools for drilling, tapping, cutting, filing and bending.  Familiarity with basic shop machinery (small drill press, bench-top belt sander, band saw) is needed.  Materials used include aluminum, copper, steel, plastic and fiberglass.  Must also be proficient with a soldering iron for attaching connectors to copper wire in the 12-to-20-gauge sizes.  Candidates need to be able to follow written and spoken directions to complete parts or sub-assemblies in a timely manner.  Experience with printed circuit boards is a plus.  Successful finalists will be asked to demonstrate the above skills during interview process.
